Great Weekend

Note- I started writing this weeks ago and never finished or added pictures. I just wanted to post what I had done so far and I finally added pictures ( 12/15).

We had a fantastic weekend (11/13-15). On Friday, Ainsley and I enjoyed the great weather and went for a walk with Remi, then to the park. We met a nice woman and her son, 1 year older than Ainsley. Ainsley and he played really well together and we exchanged info so I hope we can continue to get together. We did some yard work Friday afternoon, getting the plants ready for colder weather, finishing up a greenhouse, etc.

Saturday, we went to Sea World in San Antonio. The drive down was ok, I was hoping Ainsley would nap most of the way, we tried to go at nap time. She didn't want to sleep though and was awake most of the drive. She got about 30 minutes of sleep in the car and slept for about 15 more at the park. She woke up to children squealing. She had an awesome time- and so did we. We got to feed dolphins and some even let us touch them. We watched them swim and frolic around for a long time- Ainsley was enthralled. We saw the sharks, stingrays, and fish. We watched the sea lion show. We saw penguins, alligators, birds, Clydesdale horses and telecasters/water rides. Ainsley was fascinated by the rides. We got to see Shamu and the other killer whales- a great show- I kept thinking, how on earth do they teach them to go upside down and splash with their tails?
The dolphin pool

We went back to the dolphin pool before we left. Ainsley liked them the best- she kept saying dolphins, dolphins. When we were feeding them, Dan said "Hey Buddy" a few times. Every time Ainsley saw a dolphin for the rest of the day- she would say "Hey Buddy." Very cute.

We had dinner at Rudy's- the one in Austin is WAY better, then started the drive home. We stopped at the outlet stores because I wanted to see the kids things at Pottery Barn. They had kitchen sets and lots of furniture for kids- Ainsley started playing with it right away. She cleaned the kitchen, put some stuffed horses to bed, etc. It was really funny to see.

Sunday- we went to Lisa's wedding reception. She had a Hawaiian theme and had a dance group perform. It was great food and awesome entertainment. I have never been to Hawaii, nor has Dan. The dancers were very colorful with clothes and headdresses, etc. Ainsley LOVED the dancing. She was standing in the very front jumping, dancing, and twirling around with them. It was amazingly cute. I kept trying to pull her back a little and she would get upset and inch her way back towards the dancing. I thought she was mostly hidden from the other guests because she was behind a table- but later, everyone commented on how cute she was. I guess they could all see her- but luckily they were all as entertained as Dan and I were. I wish I had a video of it- it was so fun to see. It was the most awesome afternoon!

Watching

Dancing and moving closerA blur of motion. My phone camera is not very good with motion- but this picture is actually pretty funny since she was moving like CRAZY!
