Story Time

Last night Dan told Ainsley a bedtime story. She loves hearing "little bear" stories that we make up. These stories actually started the last time my Mom was visiting. She would make up little bear stories for Ainsley and now Ainsley demands them all throughout the day- often 10-15 stories/day. She has also developed favorite themes to the stories that she tells you to follow, and she injects thoughts and changes during the story too.

Dan's story last night was about the three little bears and the bad wolf, instead of the little pigs. At the last house that was made of brick, the wolf could not blow the house down so he climbed onto the roof and fell down the chimney into a big pot of stew. Then the little bears gobbled him up.

Ainsley: "They ate him?"
Dan: "Yes."
Ainsley with a frown on her face: "But wouldn't he be all hairy?"

HAHA! that is our little thinker.

Gordon used to make up stories for our children and my mother always said you need to write them down and publish a night time story book. He should have done he could have been another JK Rowling.
