I don't have anything particularly exciting to blog about, hence I have not blogged. I will just give some basic updates.
Ainsley went in for her 15 month check up. Everything was fine, she was 33 inches tall, >97% in height, 24.5 pounds, 75%. She took her shots like a champ.
Ainsley and I joined a MOMs club a few months ago. Our group meets on Friday mornings and there are usually 3-5 other kids around her age at each meeting. I have really enjoyed getting to know some other moms and Ainsley enjoys the new toys and parks we go to. A few weeks ago, June12th, one of the moms suggested meeting at the Bee Cave Library for a book reading, then a trip to the fountain outside. The library is located in the Bee Cave Galleria- that really new shopping center. I had never been to the Galleria and thought it would be fun, so we went. We arrived early and wandered around. It is a very nice place- lots of great shops, it is well landscaped and set up, I will have to go back with no child in tow...
The Library book reading was fun- it was our first. It was packed with kids. They read a few books, sang some songs, and we were done. After this, we went to the fountains outside. They had an awesome set up- the water shoots up out of the ground in patterns and drains in the center. The kids can stand anywhere around it. I did not put Ainsley in a bathing suit, but brought a towel. I should have brought a bathing suit. She LOVED IT! She was standing in the center touching the water as it shot out and soaking herself. She got sprayed right in the face several times and besides being a little surprised, she did not care. She was drenched from head to toe. It was really cute watching her. After this, we went to lunch with the other moms and kids.
I was pretty happy about our day- I thought it was a neat new adventure that was really fun for Ainsley. Well, of course there is a negative side to this.
Sunday June 14th we went to San Antonio for a celebration party for my sister Celene- she is now officially a board certified radiologist!
Ainsley got really ill that evening- she had a really high fever and runny nose. She woke up multiple times during the night.
Monday I had to work, my parents were staying with Ainsley. Her temperature remained high despite tylenol and motrin. She was not eating or drinking anything and just wanted to be held. I went home for lunch and she came to me and then didn't move- she was like a really hot, wet noodle. I took her to the doctor during lunch and they thought she had Hand/Foot/Mouth because of her fever and blisters on her throat. She was really sick for 3 days, then luckily started to slowly improve.
Dan took a certification exam last week- he had to study for it for most of the month. He passed of course and is now LEED certified!
Ainsley is talking up a storm now- we don't always understand, but she talks all the time.
New words:
dirty
turtle
shoes
uh huh
I love you ( her way is I U but she always says it after I tell her I love you.)
Ball
Bubbles
PooPoo ( and she tells me when she goes)
Ela ( her friend)
Hi
Hey
Boo
We got Ainsley a push buggy car- she sits in it and it has a handle for us to push like a stroller. She LOVES it. She sits in it all the time and I have to push her all over the house. She says brrrr like a motor. We go on walks outside in this too ( when the weather cooperates). She is learning to push it herself and she piles her stuffed animals in it.
Ainsley loves to play hide and seek and she is getting really good at it. She hides pretty well- usually where I have hidden before, but now there are several places she remembers. She also looks for us and we all giggle when we find each other. She likes to be like me- she put on my sunglasses and had a small purse on her arm and walked to the door. She was sooooo happy when I put some lip gloss on her lips after she watched me put some on. Of course, she smeared hers all over her face.
She loves to help her nannie clean and she is very neat. Any piece of anything on the floor is an "uh, oh" and she picks it up.

Sorry to hear Ainsley was so sick. It is good for her immune system, but it sucks for her and all the people who have to take care of her!
I love the list of words. We wrote down all of Anna's new words for a long time and put it in her baby book (until it got to be over 100!). We both love looking at that list now.
