Weekend

I was able to see both of my sister's this weekend. I have not seen either of them in a few months, so it was really nice. They were both surprised by my belly. Friday, I met my younger sister out at Opal Divine's Penn Field for dinner and drinks ( water for me). She is in town for ACL. She took a few belly pictures to send to my mom. Saturday, I met my sister Sara in San Marcos at the outlet malls for a day of shopping. She is building a new house too, and is very excited about all the things she needs to get. We went to lots of fun stores- the Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Bombay company, etc. I also hit the maternity store and got a few nice shirts and a really cool dress. Shopping with Sara is pretty amazing- she is my sister who has Christmas shopping done by late October. She already has all the curtains for her new house except for one room! Their house is probably going to be done in November. Wow. I have no curtains, none even picked out. Of course, I don't really have any where to store them since we have packed Dan's parents' house to the brim with stuff.

I returned home in the afternoon yesterday and crashed on the couch to watch the UT football game. I spent 5 hours shopping. Whew. Last night we entertained our neice Samantha for the evening- she is a chatterbox. While we were driving around with The Brown's and her, she never stopped talking. She was also very giggly. If she said something that made us laugh, she laughed hysterically. Very cute.

We tried to take the whole gang to see our house last night, but they had locked all the doors. They are starting the cleanup -the plastic had been removed from the windows and the paper covering the tile was gone. I am going to bug the realtor today and get a key so I can walk through. We have our big walk through on Friday to pick out everything that needs to be fixed, so they should finish everything this week. Last week they put in the marble tops to the bathroom cabinets and all of the showers, put in the plumbing fixtures, and fixed some other miscellaneous stuff. It seems they only have to do touch ups, some painting, and put in the carpet.

Coming along!

Shopping is definitely exhausting. Of course, my perspective is skewed. I rarely go shopping without kids in tow, so for me it is exhausting. I LOVE shopping at all the home stores, though. Anytime you're in the mood to do home shopping, you've got a buddy right here.

It's almost time to move into that beautiful new house of yours and then you will need to be shopping every weekend!
