It's Official

Well, we are no longer homeless. We officially closed on our new home today at 12 oclock. Yipee! The moving has begun and will continue all weekend. Our builder was pretty awesome and let us start unofficially taking over the house last night- we painted two rooms that we wanted different colors prior to getting furnture in. We also had deliveries scheduled for today and they happened this morning- prior to closing. Shh, our secret. The cable is hooked up- I am back in control of my DVR. Too bad I missed so many premieres this week, but I hope to catch a few of them online.

My Dad arrived safely this afternoon and he and Dan are loading our stuff up to move as I am typing. I get to unpack kitchen stuff and direct where things should be placed, not too bad.

The house looks so good, I can't really believe it is ours. It will be really fun to move in and stay overnight- we probably won't be sleeping there until at least tomorrow, maybe Sunday.

I think we will take the pets over on Sunday when mos of the main moving is done. They both know that something is going on- they have been really clingy the past 2 days. I got the best greeting from Remi last night- she was fairly frantic in her greeting of me, like she hadn't seen me in weeks instead of hours. I think they will be pretty nervous in the new home, but hopefully they will settle in when they see our stuff. I will be home the early part of next week to unpack, so that should help too.

First, I'm impressed that you are blogging at all on closing/painting/moving day.

Second, you did not miss anything with the Grey's Anatomy premiere (IMO). Kinda disappointing.

Finally, moving when you are pregnant (or recently delivered) is AWESOME. No major painting, no heavy lifting, just supervisory rolls:)
