Ainsley now has 6 teeth! 4 on top, 2 on the bottom. I think she is getting her molars in now- she is having trouble sleeping at night ( still) and is constantly rubbing her gums with her fingers. Of course, she is also biting everything and putting lots of stuff in her mouth too.
She can climb stairs as of 10 days ago. She went up a few stairs on her own ( with me close by) on the first attempt. The second attempt, she made it to the top of the staircase. She knew exactly what to do with her knees and arms, though she does not yet realize that she can fall off the edge of the stairs. She is not ready to learn how to go down so we will have to keep a close eye on her. The baby gate is up at the top of the stairs- it has been for about a month now. We have not put one at the bottom of the stairs since there is a big landing. We will see how that goes.
Ainsley can stand on her own for 30-45 seconds and has very good balance. She walks along the furniture. She will crawl around quite a bit, but she loves to pull herself up to standing and then she bounces around and squeals while hanging on to some piece of furniture. I think she is going to be walking very soon.
Ainsley babbles all the time and sometimes it seems that she says lots of words. She waves bye and hi. She is starting to get ticklish on her tummy and feet and giggles like crazy at times when you "tickle" her. She also likes to play and will laugh and laugh when you do something she likes. It warms the heart to hear her laugh.
Dan has purchased a Halloween costume for Ainsley- he has known what he wanted for a long time and we were thrilled to find just the costume on ebay. It should arrive this week! I will plan to bring her by work on Halloween. Anyone know of any fun events for kids on Halloween?

Our neighborhood always has a Halloween Parade the Sunday afternoon before Halloween. Its great fun - we meet at our neighborhood park, and the kids make a small loop on the hike n bike trail, back to the park for cookies and juice. I love that they get to wear their costumes another time, and in the daylight - great for photos.
This year, I am "in charge," which basically means I tell them when its time to leave and where to go. If your neighborhood doesn't have one, maybe next year you could start one, too!
So what is she going to be? I can't wait for those photos! I saw you and Remi today sitting at the light at WmCannon/Mopac. Miss you!
