Recent weeks

Ainsley is now 10 months old! She experienced her first Thanksgiving at her Aunt Sara's. She was able to enjoy turkey, green beans, rolls, and potatoes! Yum! She was a little unsure of being at a different house with strangers - my sister's in laws were there too. She was VERY clingy and did not want me to be out of sight or arm range. She was not really even content with Dan. This made helping with preparing the meal fairly difficult, but we managed. We stayed overnight and drank wine and hung out with everyone. Friday I went with my sister and Maria ( her MIL) and we were pampered with a pedicure for 1.5 hours- they were not busy so we got super massages and treatments. My toes look fantastic- too bad it is so cold and no one gets to see them but me.

Ainsley can now walk across a room on her own. She is still a little wobbly, but she gets better and more confident every day. Her main motivator for walking is Brie- she will see Brie and take off after her sometimes crawling, sometimes walking.

This is the most adorable hat that Val made for Ainsley. Ainsley only leaves it on for short periods of time, but she is so cute when she wears it.

Ainsley helping me put up the tree.

How adorable!

Ainsley playing with the ornaments/licking the ornaments. I bought some shatterproof ornaments from Costco to put up in place of other ornaments so I wouldn't have to fear breakage. As several of them have already been bounced on the tile, I think it was a good choice.

Yesterday we went to Gruene with some of our friends. The twins and Ainsley were able to play together for the first time. It was fun to watch. Ainsley really liked both of them, but followed Kristen everywhere. Kristen was running around everywhere and Ainsley was crawling after her. It was really cute. We had Ainsley's picture taken with Santa- she was not thrilled and would not smile. There was only one picture where she was not crying, but she had a very serious face. She was also keeping her hands well away from the man in the red suit- putting on a "Don't touch me" attitude.

Non-breakable ornaments...what a great idea. I need to go get those! If you think Ainsley didn't like Santa this year, wait until next year. I remember Santa at the mall saying that to us...and boy was he right! Our 2nd year photo was of Markku screaming histerically!

What a fun time you will have this year. Doesn't having a little one making the holiday season even better? She sure is cute!
