Time seems to be going by really quickly, yet somehow still slow. I am now 30 weeks pregnant- 3/4 of the way done- yeah! Things are going well- baby seems to be growing and doing well. I have some discomfort with my back- mainly after a long day at work or lots of physical activity at home. I am trying to take it as easy as I can, but it is hard with work and having a toddler at home.
This baby seems to move all the time. They are supposed to have periods of sleep and awake, but it really seems to me that he moves all the time. Hopefully this does not mean he will be up a lot at night when we bring him home. Every time I wake up at night to shift positions, he is moving around and kicking. Hopefully it is just him repositioning as I reposition. I am having sciatica at night- that is my worst discomfort. I wake up and shift positions all the time, often with little relief. Some days are better than others and I can not figure out why.
We are planning to take a short childbirth class in December to refresh us on all that will happen. Our first class was really long and I was not looking forward to repeating it, but this class is only 6 hours so much more bearable.
Ainsley enjoys feeling my belly and talking to her brother. She is so cute and gentle when she touches my tummy. She has been happy and giggly lately which is infectious. She seems to be liking her school more and more and has lots of little friends there. We had a parent teacher conference last weekend and the teacher said Ainsley was doing great. She eats well, plays well with others, participates, and sleeps well. All great things!
We found out that my sister Sara will be moving back to San Antonio in December. It was rather sudden, but we are happy they will be closer. Ainsley loves her aunt and uncle and their dogs too!
We are having Thanksgiving at our house this year- not too many people. Dan's parents and my cousin and his family. Then we plan to decorate for Christmas over the weekend. Ainsley is excited about that- she sees lights up in the neighborhood and says we need to decorate.
We ordered furniture for the baby's room- it should be in this week. I am anxious to get the room finished- even though we have plenty of time. We are looking at bedding but have not made a final decision yet.
I think the next few months will fly by with the holidays to keep us busy. Our December is rapidly filling up- scary!
I wanted to post a few halloween pictures of Ainsley.
Dan had to have her pose with a soldier's gun. Kind of funny.
We went trick or treating with her friend Maddie and had a great time. Afterwards, we hung out at Maddie's house with a bunch of neighbors. It was really fun. Ainsley enjoyed eating some of her candy. She was actually really good about only getting 1 piece a day after Halloween, so we didn't have to take any candy away from her. Though,I helped her eat quite a bit!
