So much has been happening in the past few months that I will attempt to do some updates. Ben has been growing, learning and so much fun!
I am going to separate some of the things he does by month:
March Words
3/5 Dog, duck, Hi, Leroy
3/14 Bird, papa, thank you, no
Book
End of March Milk
March Achievements and things he learned
He can get off a bed by himself, as of 3/29
He can wipe his nose with a tissue and tries to wipe mine too
Makes blowing noises. Likes to play peek a boo chase- he laughs and laughs as I chase him around the house. He loves to be tickled, especially under the neck. He throws his head back and lets you tickle away! He likes to hang upside down too. I helped him to do a front roll and he really liked that too. He is very adventurous and likes lots of physical activity!
Cute pictures from March
April Events
Ben ate some dog food 4/11. He loves to open the container and reach in to grab a few kibbles. I try hard to keep him out of the pantry but he is so fast! I fed Remi and came back to find him in the pantry, really quiet. When he looked at me, his mouth was full. I put my hand out and he spit 2 pieces of dog food into it. I thought that was it. But, he kept walking around and spitting out a piece here and there. I think he had about 5 pieces in his mouth- yuck! Remi loves him of course...
He can walk really fast now, almost a run.
He can throw things, like rocks (boo). He has a really good arm too.
He can shake his head no and say no. When he throws rocks, I stop him and say no. This has led to him throwing the rock, looking at me, shaking his head no and saying no as he throws it. Not quite sure he has grasped the "No" concept...
He can go down several stairs on his own, using the handrail.
Toilet paper fun
Boating fun, he loves the water!
Climbing again!
Driving the boat
I came home from work late one night and Dan had the kids upstairs, they had already eaten. I got my food and went upstairs to eat it with the family. My two little birds descended on me. They both wanted me to feed them. They sat on each side of me and kept opening their mouths every time I would have food on my fork. Ben was actually grabbing my arm and opening his mouth while trying to pull the fork in.
Q tip fun
Ben discovered that he likes to slam his head into things. He will sit in a chair and throw his head back into it as hard as he can and laugh and laugh. I don't really like that...
Ben started running at 15 months 2 weeks of age. He has the cutest little run!
He has been trying to jump too, but he can not quite get his feet off the ground. He is a climber. He will climb everything and try to go higher and higher.
May events
Words
5/3 - fish, up
5/19 - Bubble, eat, shoe
5/28 - Moon, turtle
He started using a fork May 3rd. He is trying to feed himself with a fork too.
He is just a silly silly little guy. He makes faces, acts silly and loves to laugh and "tease." He likes to dance to music too- he has some great moves.
At the end of May, Dan and I attempted to cut his hair. It was really long and curly, with moderate frizz. It would really stick up. Dan did most of the trim and did a pretty good job!
June
6/1- juice, truck, book, plane
6/15 - He linked two words and said - where bubbles
