I had a wonderful massage experience last night that I wanted to share. Dan gave me a gift card for a massage for Christmas and I had been trying to find the right time to go. I decided Wednesday evening that Thursday night would be perfect. I did a surgery on Wednesday and had some back discomfort Wednesday night, and I knew I had a few big surgeries on Thursday. I made the appointment with the same woman who did my last massage- I thought she did a nice job. The first massage I had, she was apparently not told it was a prenatal massage. She still did a great job- she did the massage with me on my sides, but she said that she typically does things a little different for prenatal massage.
Wow- I thought the first massage was good, but this was spectacular.
It started out with me sitting in a chair, facing the back. There was a pillow to sit on, one in front of my belly, and one at the top for me to rest my head on the pillow/massage bed. The pillows smelled like lavender. She did a full back/shoulder massage. Then I laid on either side and she massaged my hips and legs. Then, she raised the back of the massage table to a 45 degree angle and I reclined on a pillow with a bolster pillow below my knees. She gave me a full facial massage- which I have never had done before and I really enjoyed. Next she put a lavender sachet over my eyes and did my arms, calves and finally my feet.
What an hour.

Good for you. I really loved my prenatal massages. However, when I'd get to the car to drive home, I didn't want to move and spoil the wonderful effect!
