First Mother's Day

My first Mother’s Day was yesterday! It was a really wonderful day and experience. Ainsley was good to me and let me sleep in until 7 am- woohoo. I fed her and then we cuddled for a while. She is really talkative and happy in the mornings- so we enjoyed talking with her. She is extremely vocal! Man can she squeal!

Dan and Ainsley gave me a wonderful card and a gift certificate to a spa- fun for later! Dan had a big brunch planned for me and his Mother. His parents and brother came over mid morning and we had a great brunch together. Dan made bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, Belgian waffles with strawberries and raspberries, and fried potatoes. Of course, we can’t forget the mimosas! He did all the cooking and cleaning, all the while wearing a Longhorn apron- go Dan!

We had a lovely morning. It was also a gorgeous day outside- a cool front came through and left it in the 70s with a nice breeze and clear blue skies. We sat outside for a while and enjoyed the day.

In the afternoon, Dan and I put up a fan in Ainsley’s room. I spoke to my Mom and Dad, Sara and Celene on the phone- everyone wishing me Happy Mother’s Day.

Some fun pictures of Remi kissing Ainsley. I was trying to prop Ainsley up on Remi, but Remi’s tongue was too fast for us.

This is us helping to put up the fan.

A fun picture from tonight!
