8 days old

I love this picture of Ainsley- look how cute she is! Yesterday, Ainsley was 7 days old. Hard to believe a week has already passed. Things are going pretty well, there are a few issues we are trying to work through. It has been great to have help in the form of family-my mom was in town for the past several days, she left last night. It was sad to see her go- she was a big help and she loved being around her granddaughter. I hope she will visit often. Also- Dan's Mom and family have been a big help.

We had a fun weekend of family visitors- my sisters both came back to spend Saturday with us. They enjoyed getting to hold Ainsley and they were able to visit with my Mom as well. Dan's parents came over on Sunday and brought us a great dinner and I had my first glass of wine in forever. It was so good- but I feel lethargic and warm after only a few sips. No tolerance any more, but a few sips was a nice splurge. Dinner was excellent- tender beef, roast potatoes, asparagus, gravy, yorkshire pudding and a great lemon souffle with raspberries and cream for dessert!

Some more pictures.

Brie and Remi investigating the baby. Brie and Remi have both been great with her. Neither of them likes her crying- they come to investigate right away. Brie has even joined in - meowing loudly. Once, that even stopped Ainsley from crying- I guess it startled her.

She is lovely, and so well loved. Dan is clearly smitten with her, and you look like such a happy mom!

I'm so glad things are going well. I was wondering how the animals were adjusting. I remember how I took so many pictures of Cole, it's such as sweet and amazing time.

She has already changed from when I met her in the hospital. Keep taking pictures she will change in a blink of an eye. Miss you at work. But enjoy your bonding time.
