We started a sleep training program last week and it is going pretty well. I am trying to get her to fall asleep on her own and more importantly, to fall asleep and stay asleep in her crib during the day. It has worked really well so far. I think she is getting the sleep she needs too since she is getting longer naps during the day. I have enjoyed the free time I now have since I am not always holding the baby. I can get a lot done in a few hours of naptime. I have to say, I do miss our snuggle time.
Ainsley has started drooling quite a bit now. She also really likes to suck on her fist and fingers. She has gotten her thumb in her mouth a few times, but she can’t always get it in the proper way. Here is a picture I took 2 days ago with her thumb in her mouth!
I sucked my thumb as a baby- my Mom swears I must have done it in the womb because I starting sucking it as soon as I was born.
Ainsley had her first real bath on Sunday night. She really liked being in the water and gave us a few big smiles and some fun coos.
Ainsley has started to focus on lots of objects now, including Remi and Brie. She will also hear our voices and focus in on us now very quickly. She is changing so much it is truly amazing!

Look how strong she is, holding her head up at tummy time! Good for you for tackling the sleep training now. It is awful to hear your baby cry, but it is so worth it for them to learn to fall asleep on their own. I have no doubt Ainsley gets plenty of cuddles and love!
Its so hard to believe that she is 10 weeks old. Thanks for keeping us posted and sharing pictures. I love to see how much she is changing week by week. Can't wait for you to get back to work. We miss you.
Wow, she really has changed. Those pictures are great, especially the thumb-sucking one. She looks like she is in thumb-sucking, half-conscious bliss. How is Remi w/ the corn cob situation??
10 weeks old! I can't believe that. I am glad she is letting you put her down now-that will make it so much easier for you to leave her when you have to go back to work! Nothing new on my part-just wasting my maternity leave staying pregnant!
