Thanksgiving

Dan and I drove to San Antonio to spend Thanksgiving with my sister Sara and her husband Dave. Sara and Dave just built a new home too and Dan and I had not yet seen it. They moved in about 1 month ago. The house looked great- Sara had it decorated nicely and curtains were already up in almost every room- very impressive. We took Remi with us and she was kept busy with their boston terrier, Petey. Petey is pretty young- about 1.5 years old and he thinks Remi is great. They played quite a bit and kept each other entertained.

Sara and I cooked the turkey- Sara had not made one before. Sara and Dave prepared all the other dishes- they were really amazing. Sara follows tv cooking shows and found some great recipes from them. The table was set to perfection- see picture- complete with name plates.

Sara even remembered me and got a sparkling cranberry/orange drink for me to put in my wine glass for dinner and the toast!

Remi was tormented by Petey quite a bit- but she really enjoyed being on "vacation." She found lots of scraps in the kitchen and in the trash. Notice Remi's butt in the left corner of the picture- the trash can was right there.

Remi played lots with Petey, then crashed pretty hard. Petey is allowed on the furniture, so it did not take Remi long to decide she could get on the furniture too. It quickly became a habit - initially she asked if she could get up, then she just climbed up.
