Well, as you have seen before on Jennifer's blog, dog's eat the weirdest things. I removed a pair of underwear from a 10 year old dogs intestine's today. The poor dog came in looking miserable - she had vomited a few days ago, then stopped eating and was pretty painful at home. She was really painful here and dehydrated. On radiographs- it looked like there was a long cloth in her intestines. We did an ultrasound to confirm the location of the cloth- it almost looked like it could be in the colon- which means they can pass it. The Ultrasound confirmed foreign material and that it was in the bowel and likely causing an obstruction. I took the old girl to surgery and found about 10 inches of intestines very angry, hard and distended with something ( not poop). Pictures are below. Surgery went great and hopefully the dog will continue to do well.

We could not really tell if they were thong underwear, as the crotch and some other pieces were missing.
I'm wondering who is going to have the third case of underwear ingestion ( these seem to always come in threes!).

Yeah! More pictures of underwear! Poor thing, she did look miserable. That sure is an expensive piece of undergarment.
